Telling People Off - Being Honest With Oneself

Yesterday I messaged a friend and told them they weren't being a good friend.

It's not something that is easy to tell someone, and it's not easy for someone to hear. But sometimes it needs to be said.
I'm just throwing it out there, that you aren't a good friend. I know that may hurt to hear, but you really aren't ever there when needed.
And their response?
I think you might be right
I know you don't want to hear this but i don't think i can be the kind of friend you need
Thanks Sherlock, I'm pretty sure I told you that already...

I think just the fact that you have to point out to someone that they are not being a good friend means that you are not really friends. Don't be upset with them. Just let them go. Shrug your shoulders and say in your most passive aggressive voice "I guess I'm just not worthy of love". Then curl up in a ball with warm chocolate chip cookies and tell yourself it'll get better.

    1. Thanks for the link!
Yeah, I've already put them in my past. Loneliness gets so warm and cozy :)

    2. I know, right? I was just watching I Am Legend with Will Smith, if you haven't seen it basically the entire world population dies from a virus and only a select few are immune. Will and his dog wanders a freakishly empty Manhattan. Besides for the creepy creatures running wild, I thought it might be nice to have the whole quiet city to myself.

    3. Geez. Spoiler alert.
Just kidding, I've seen it...not that I remember any of it.

    4. There are no spoiler alerts in that short paragraph.

No matter how many times I watch it it still makes me sad. Also Will Smith is my favorite celeb.

Any good movies to see this summer? Paper Towns is coming out this week it sounds good.

    5. Can't wait for Paper Towns, the book was really good.
I also liked Minions, Inside Out and Pitch Perfect, from ones already out.

    6. I did not know it was a book...of course, all the good movies usually are.

Saw pitch prefect 2, was cute. Will not watch the minions. And I heard inside out is good but my mind can't get past animated films as being kid movies.

    7. It's a John Green book (he's the one who wrote The Fault In Our Stars).

You need to watch Inside Out. Based off of everything I've read in your blog, you will really connect to Inside Out.
For more on this (major spoilers, but a great read), read: http://hellogiggles.com/why-inside-out-will-start-an-important-conversation-about-mental-health/
